The brisk air, breath-taking views, and good times! Hiking is an awesome activity to do this fall, especially when physically distancing due to the Coronavirus. Hiking is a great way to get exercise without having to be at the gym or going for a run on the road. It’s also a way to break a sweat without breaking the bank! A short 2-hour drive can bring you right to hundreds of free trails in northern New Hampshire. 

Here are some great trails, some hard and some that are more like a walk in the woods!

  • Whitaker Woods: This park offers easy trails that anyone can use! Enjoy the outdoors with these easier trails.
  • Arethusa Falls: This 1.5-mile hike is perfect if you want the challenge of uneven grounds but don’t want to wake up too sore the next day! Even better, there’s a beautiful waterfall at the end!
  • Mount Willard: This 3.2 mile hike it slightly more challenging than the others but has an amazing view up top! Pack a picnic and enjoy your grub while basking in the sun.

While offering great exercise and great fun, hiking is an awesome activity to do this fall. Hiking is also shown to reduce stress and anxiety. It can clear your mind and help with to live in the moment. Don’t forget your mask and water, and take a hike!
